Marianne Marić is a French photographer and artist. Since 2007, she has been developing a transdisciplinary body of work, in which she deconstructs the boundaries between mediums by using the body as a sculptural weapon. In her practice, art, fashion, design, photography, music and video merge through the use of women's bodies as "an extraordinary and fascinating architecture". She plays with stereotypes and symbols in order to reuse them.

This photograph, entitled « Le Pain », is an image taken from a performance filmed by the artist in which, according to the Serbian proverb, one woman strikes another's bottom on a full moon evening for good luck. It was produced using an experimental offset printing process during which the artist accompanied by printers and artists from APO intervened to alter the initial image and create unique works through a random gesture. This work is a limited edition of 100 unique prints.
